"Muh", my mother, bought me an AM/FM radio for Christmas when I was 12yrs old, thus beginning my life long love of music. The following August, my GrandFather gave me my first guitar for my birthday. I taught myself to play by watching Soul Train. After about a month, I swapped it with my friend Cholly Brown for his bass his uncle gave him, a week later, I had my guitar back. Teaching myself both, soon I had a Moog Opus 3 synthesizer followed by drums next. Prince was my main inspiration since hearing his song Soft And Wet at the (wreck), the DalWorth Recreation Center, playing on the jukebox in the bumper pool room.
Hip-Hop art of Ping-ponging was the only way to record yourself at the time if you wanted to be like Prince in order to record by yourself without track recorders, absolute fun, but gets muddy fast. Calling a DJ at the radio station for a tip on how to be a good song write, he said, "Write the lyrics to your favorite songs, then you will see the secret." It worked!, that is, with years of practice and disipline. Then came touring as an actor for two years, then my band Fungk Shyne! Not long after that, the radio station K104 FM. And still, I'm into music, spending lots of money, but not in it for the money. I love this stuff. But, not as much as I love the LORD GOD!!! JESUS is the LORD
